Ciao, bellas! How many of you have a fancy holiday party coming up? Or maybe a nice vacation? How about a traditional family Christmas Eve dinner? Whatever formal occasions you have this holiday season, I'm here today to guide you on any fancy holiday-approved outfits you may need for the season!
This Week's Fit:
This week's fit has to be one of my favs ever. I ordered this hot pink long-sleeve romper from Vetique on their holiday sale and am so sad to say I eventually had to return it because of sizing (you would not believe how many safety pins I was wearing to keep it up in these photos). I'll link it down below in case one of you can fit in it because seriously this romper is a gem. It plays right into one of my tips I'll share later in the blog post. Long sleeves, silky materials, and warm signature colors are all major hits when it comes to holiday parties!
The Holiday Trademark
One of the most important parts of picking out an outfit for holiday parties is to stick to the traditional holiday colors and style themes. While most of us think of red and green for Christmas, there are plenty of other options to branch out from your traditional Christmas themes. You want to stay close enough to these styles that your outfit is festive, but you'll need to branch out just enough that you don't look like a Christmas tree. Here are a couple of holiday outfit features that you just might like to try and incorporate...
Sequins and Sparkles: I am a big fan of these. Like a SUPER big fan. One of the best times to throw in a little shine is during the holiday season. I specifically love the gold sequin look this year. These few sparkly gold looks from Lulus are fantastic candidates!
The Color Range: There are a couple of traditional Christmas dressing colors such as red, black, and dark. And while these colors are very reliable, I find it more impressive if you can pull off a non-basic holiday color and still make it look festive. And for me personally, that color is pink. A deep magenta gets very close to red but puts an individual twist on your Christmas fit. Another great color choice for this is royal blue or royal purple. Both are absolutely gorgeous and semi-festive. Pretty much any dark muted color will be a hit.
Long Sleeves: Utilizing long sleeves on your holiday dress is another great way to stay warm and festive. There's something so statement-y about a long-sleeved dress that elevates its look completely. I think it's partially because finding a pair of fitting sleeves is so difficult. But if you can make it work, then go for it, girl!

Wrapped Like a Gift: This is a much smaller feature compared to the others on the list, but it is equally as adorable. I have been LOVING the hair bow trend lately. It's a great way to add an unexpected little element to your outfit and it will remind people of presents! And who doesn't love presents? Below is a very popular example from Dillards
